Conventional Method
Activate the Yeast:
In a bowl, combine inulin and yeast with water. Cover with cling film and a silicone mat, then let it sit in a warm place until the yeast becomes foamy and nearly doubles in size (about 20–40 minutes).Prepare the Dough:
Add all ingredients, including the activated yeast, to a mixer. Using the dough hook attachment, knead for at least 5 minutes until the dough is smooth, soft, and supple (it should not be wet).Shape the Dough:
Stretch the dough into a large rectangle, about as wide as your loaf tin. Roll the dough lengthwise into a log and place it seam-side down in the loaf tin.Proof the Dough:
Cover the loaf with a clean towel or silicone mat and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has risen.Bake:
Preheat your oven to 170°C (fan) / 190°C (static) / 375°F. Line a 25.5 x 13 cm (10 x 5 inch) loaf pan. Bake for 40–45 minutes. Cool the loaf on a wire rack before slicing.
