Description

Experience the magic of bakery-style Crumbl cookies at home! These thick, soft, and chewy cookies are bursting with chocolate chips and irresistible flavor. Discover 10 secrets to making your cookies as delicious as the originals—perfect for sharing or indulging.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 cups milk chocolate chips, plus more to press into the top of the dough after baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. In the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream together the butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed for 3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, vanilla, baking soda, salt, and cornstarch. Mix for 1 minute, scraping down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  4. Reduce the mixer speed to low and add the flour, mixing just until combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Scoop out rounded 1/3 cup portions of dough (about 4.2 ounces each) and roll into balls. Break each ball in half, turn so the jagged edge faces up, and press the halves back together to create a craggy top. Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them 3 inches apart. Bake 5 cookies at a time.
  6. Bake for 10 to 11 minutes, until the edges and tops are lightly golden. Do not overbake.
  7. For a bakery-style look, press extra chocolate chips onto the tops of the warm cookies. Let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For the signature Crumbl texture, don’t overbake—cookies should be soft and gooey in the center. Experiment with different chocolate chips or add-ins for your own twist!
